Thanks for choosing to work with me. These terms keep things clear and straightforward for both of us. They cover how we'll work together, what you can expect from me, and what I need from you to create brilliant content that connects with your customers.

Project Scope and Pricing

Our working agreement: My proposal outlines project scope and serves as our contract. Happy to work with your contracts or sign NDAs when needed. All proposals remain valid for three months from issue date.

What's included: All quoted prices cover our initial briefing sessions, creative development time, and minor tweaks to first drafts.

When projects change direction: If your brief shifts significantly after we've started work, I'll need to quote separately for the additional work. This protects both of us and ensures you get exactly what you need without surprises.

If you need to cancel: Life happens, and sometimes projects need to stop mid-flow. If this occurs, I'll charge proportionally for work completed up to that point.

Payment Terms

How payment works: I ask for 50% upfront to secure your project slot in my schedule, with the remaining 50% due on completion. This deposit isn't just about cash flow – it's about commitment from both sides.

Payment schedules vary by project type:

Standard projects: 50% to start, 50% on completion
Training and one-to-one sessions: 100% upfront to secure your session
Monthly support clients: Billed on the 28th of each month

Payment timing: The initial invoice is due within 7 days, with all other payments due within 14 days of invoice date.

Monthly retainers: Eight weeks' notice required from either side. Plenty of time to wrap things up properly or find new arrangements.

Late Payments: Unpaid invoices accrue daily interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. I may also pause work or restrict access to completed content until accounts are settled.

Content and Copyright

Who owns what: I retain copyright on all content until invoices are paid in full. Once you've settled up, full copyright transfers to you. Clean and simple.

Using AI responsibly: I use AI tools ethically, legally and effectively. This means enhancing my work while protecting your interests and maintaining the highest professional standards.

Revisions and Feedback

What's included: Fixed-price projects include two rounds of revisions if needed. This covers the natural back-and-forth that creates great content.

Major changes: Substantial shifts like additional pages, changes after sign-off, or editing client-added content will need separate quotes.

Feedback window: I allow seven days for feedback on drafts. No response means you're happy with the work as-is, and I'll consider that element signed off.

Non-Acceptance: If you genuinely can't use content I've developed for you, we may agree to reduce the fee to 50% of the quoted amount. In this case, copyright remains with me, and you agree not to use or adapt the content.

Portfolio Rights

I reserve the right to showcase your project in my online portfolio and marketing channels, with appropriate links back to your business. Great work deserves to be seen.
